About This Item
Full Description
Describes experiments and numerical simulations of flow and temperature fields in a room with raised-floor air conditioning to analyse its ventilation efficiency. The room used is a model computer room. Air is supplied through the floor and exhausted at the ceiling. Exhaust and supply outlets alternate with each other to prevent a large recirculating flow through the whole room. Describes the experiments and numerical simulations for five cases. Supplies the results and concludes that numerical simulations reproduce the observed flow and temperature fields with adequate accuracy and in raised floor air conditioned rooms, local air balance of the exhaust and supply air flow yields sufficiently high ventilation efficiency.
