About This Item
Full Description
Accurate modeling of airflows is more important than ever in this era of COVID, climate change, and increasing access to simulation tools. The usefulness of such models often hinges on how faithfully the airflow conditions and other in the model reflect reality. Yet, practical considerations limit the detail with which such features can be represented. Consequently, simplified (or compact) models are typically required – which strive to capture the most important physics with reasonable computational cost. This seminar examines the compact modeling of airflow supplies and leakage paths with examples from general buildings to automotive tunnels to data centers.
