View Sample Alloy Digest Data Sheet (PDF)

Since 1952, Alloy Digest has been the leading reference for materials property data on metals and alloys used throughout the world. Featuring graphs, charts and tables, these sheets give facts and figures on composition or characterization, physical and mechanical properties, heat treatment, and machinability.

NUCALLOY 41 is a nickel-chromium-boron alloy developed as an alternative to cobalt-base alloys in applications where the presence of cobalt is undesirable. It is finding wide acceptance because of its toughness and high resistance to attack by many chemicals. It has superior wear resistance which is derived from the presence of hard nickel borides (and to a lesser extent chromium carbides) tightly held in a tough nickel-rich matrix. Among its many uses are cylinder liners, glass plant applications and valve components for nuclear applications.
