RA 200 is characterized by (1) Excellent resistance to many corrosive environments, (2) Good thermal and electrical conductivity and (3) A large magnetrostrictive effect. This commercially pure metals has outstanding resistance to corrosion by hot concentrated alkalies (except ammonium hydroxide). Among its numerous applications, RA 200 is used to maintain product purity in the handling of many foods and chemicals, to produce synthetic fibers, and for magnetrostrictive devices.
