Covers design and construction, sampling and testing, and instructions, marking and packaging of six types of child restraint (including net enclosing, forward facing harness with and without chair, forward facing and rearward facing enclosing, and rearward facing chair types) and also for three types of seat restraint. Provision is made for reclining restraints. Tests include strength of child restraints under forward loading, strength under rearward loading, tensile strength of load-carrying components, resistance to corrosion, strength of seat restraints, and dynamic performance.
