About This Item

Full Description

This standard applies to two grades of liquefied petroleum gas consisting essentially of propane and propylene.

Grade 1 is a special fuel intended for use in internal combustion engines operating under moderate to high engine severity.

Grade 2 is a fuel adequate for most industrial and domestic uses, particularly when low ambient temperatures exist and uniformity of fuel volatility are important considerations for adequate vapourization.

This standard may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous. This document does not purport to address all the safety aspects associated with its use. Anyone using this standard has the responsibility to consult the appropriate authorities and to establish appropriate health and safety practices in conjunction with any existing applicable regulatory requirements prior to its use.

Note: Grade 2 fuel may also be suitable for low severity internal combustion engine applications where high octane number fuel is not required.
