Specifies requirements for reusable syringes of the aspirating, non-aspirating and self-aspirating type for dental anaesthetic use. It is not intended for cartridge syringes having a mechanical advantage action for the creation of high pressure. Materials, design and construction, instructions for use and labelling requirements are laid down. Appendices give methods for repeated sterilization and for determining resistance to corrosion.
