About This Item

Full Description

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to provide a standard approach for the development and management of test procedure generation for aircraft components. Major elements of this approach are:

• Roles and responsibilities of the parties involved.

• Test Specification content and attributes.

• Technical Support and Data Package (TSDP).

• Test implementation process.

• Conformance checking process.

Benefits to standardizing an approach are:

• Clarifies the responsible parties to reduce redundant and/or missed elements of the process.

• Defines the content and attributes of Test Specifications to aid in maintenance of it and implementation of it using alternative methods.

• Defines the elements of the TSDP to aid in implementation of the test specification in case this TS does not contain all necessary data.

• Provides guidelines for the process of test implementation to aid all parties in understanding the activities involved.

• Defines the data and provides an ARINC 668 compliant process required to check the conformance of alternative implementation to the Test Specification to minimize the cost for equivalency verification.

Refer to the glossary in Appendix A for definitions of terms.
