AS 7517 Standard describes the requirements for assembly, maintenance, and interface of rolling stock wheelsets. The Standard covers the requirements for: - assembly, - geometric tolerances, - electrical resistance, - balancing, - identification and records, - actions following derailment. The standard does not cover: - Operation of rolling stock. - Rolling stock axles used on light rail, cane railway and monorail networks. - Wheelsets operating at speeds in excess of 200 km/hr.
