This book was developed to document the history of HVAC&R in Hong Kong. It discusses the evolution of cooling and air conditioning in Hong Kong, as well as the extensive history of Hong Kongs work with HVAC&R starting back in the 1830s with ice harvesting. In totality, this book serves as a small peek into the tremendous impact HVAC&R technology has on the world. Beyond human comfort, this technology is pivotal in controlling the health and welfare of the world. Cool Hong Kong also highlights the technological innovation and up-to-date modifications that have been utilized in several major structures within the city center. This book was authored by the ASHRAE Hong Kong Chapter.
