This International Standard specifies the performance requirements for three classes of sound calibrator: class 0, class 1, and class 2 in decreasing order of accuracy under specified conditions. Class 0 calibrators are normally used in the laboratory, whilst classes 1 and 2 are considered as calibrators for field use.
