This standad applies to mastic asphalt (hot process) composed of limestone filler and suitably graded aggregates incorporated with either petroleum asphalt, or a blend of petroleum asphalt and refined natural lake asphalt.

Mastic asphalt conforming to this standard is intended for use in waterproofing masonry and concrete walls below grade, and for waterproofing concrete floors.
