This standard is intended to measure the ability of elastomers of hardness within the range 30 to 94 (Shore A or IRHD) to retain their visco-elastic properties after extension to a specified strain.

PURPOSE

The purpose of this standard is to determine the tension set characteristics of elastomeric test pieces or products, after these have been stretched to a specified strain.
