ENGLISH * INACTIVE FOR NEW DESIGN * USE GMW17170

This specification covers the properties of paintable, and bondable injection molding grade of sheet molding compound that is reinforced with 225% glass fibers that arc about 12.5 mm long.

PAINTABILITY. Approved paint systems that can be used on this material are listed in the GM Approved Paint On Plastic Systems (GM APOPS) data base.

BONDABILITY. The material must meet the bondability requirements of GM3629M

APPLICATIONS. Typical applications include the following: exterior body panels like fender extensions, and spoilers.
