ENGLISH HISTORICAL VERSION

This standard describes two methods, bleeding resistance and contact stain, to determine the compatibility of PVC with other materials (migration).

Method A - Bleeding Resistance.

This method is based on ISO 183 and describes a method for determining color substances bleeding in plastic-coated fabric and plastic sheeting.

Bleeding means the migration which can occur from one colored material, e.g., a plastic sheeting, to another plastic sheeting or other material in contact with the colored material.

Method B - Contact Stain.

This standard is based on, but deviates in several respects from, ISO 105-E06 and outlines a method of determining stains between PVC and leather.

Note: Nothing in the specification supersedes applicable laws and regulations unless specific exemption has been obtained.

Note: In the event of conflict between the English and domestic language, the English language shall take precedence.
