Purpose.

The check load cycle portion of this test is performed to determine the effects of initial and repetitive check loading on the entire door, hinge, and pillar system. The hinge cycle portion of this test evaluates the effects of cycling from closed to open to closed position, including all hold-open or detent positions. Check Load Rigidity (abusive load) Procedure GMN6518 is a prerequisite to performing Check Load and Hinge Cycle Durability. Peak Load for Check Load Rigidity must be applied for 60 s minimum for each application, as shown in Figure A7.
