Purpose. The purpose of this procedure is to describe common techniques for the use of air to cool dampers and bushings on laboratory tests. 

Applicability. This procedure is applicable to full vehicle, suspension subsystem, and component tests that require damper and/or bushing cooling. Refer to 2.2 GM Standards/Specifications for full vehicle and suspension multi-axial test procedure numbers (typically GMW14045, GMW14794 and GMW15189).
