Introduction

Note: Nothing in this standard supercedes applicable laws and regulations.

Note: In the event of conflict between the English and domestic language, the English language shall take precedence.

Purpose. When traveling at a high rate of speed, as defined in the Side Closures Subsystem Technical Specification (SSTS) for that vehicle, determine if the door glass can successfully “re-roll”. Re-roll is the ability for the door glass to successfully “track” back up to the full up position, after having been lowered to a position where the top edge of glass is no longer engaged with the door header or roof rail.

Applicability. Side Closures door designs with manual or power window systems. For vehicle designs that have both manual and power, confirmation of this test only needs to be confirmed on the power window system.

Remarks. None.
