This paper has been prepared to give designers and operators of banking buildings reference data and experiences from work completed for banks in the central regions of New Zealand over the last five years.

The paper covers some of the design aspects of the special needs of the banking chambers themselves, computer modeling, and provides suggestions where more research is required. The presentation includes details from some installations.
