Long term energy supply planning considerations have traditionally included items such as pricing, taxation, alternative energy sources, national interests of importing and exporting countries, incentives for increased production and conservation, etc. Our studies have shown that incentives for implementation of energy saving controls for heating (and cooling) equipment could give considerable impetus to the cause of energy conservation.
