ENGLISH/JAPANESE VERSION

This standard specifies a measuring method of the concentration of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted from auto parts in order to reduce in-cabin VOCs. Of substances listed as interior air contaminates in the guideline designated by Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, subject to this standard are TVOCs and ten substances: formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, toluene, xylene, ethyl benzene, styrene, tetradecane, p-dichlorobenzene, di-n-butyl phthalate, and Di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate.

This measurement method can be applied to sheets, plastic panels, ceilings, etc. Furthermore, it can be applied to adhesives and paints used for them.
