This Defence Standard (Def Stan) 304 Part 3 specifies the manufacturing requirements for propulsors fitted to HM Surface Ships and Submarines.

The generic term propulsor is further defined in Annex B as Propeller and Pump-jets and strict cognizance of these definitions shall be made against each clause of this document.
