It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to ensure that all relevant standards, regulations and guidelines are adhered to.

This standard covers all types of MOD specialist vehicles and plant equipment; it includes both tracked and wheeled variants. The requirements, guidelines and evaluation sections are applicable to both tracked and wheeled vehicles unless specified otherwise.

This Defence Standard is intended to assist the procurement of military vehicles for operating both in UK and other countries.
