— Type A - Size 25, for gunpowder and sulfurless gunpowder.

— Type D - Size 25, for delay fuze powder, 78 seconds.

— Type F - Size 25, for fuze powders e.g. SR 227, SR 227A, SR 227B, SR 227C and SR 227D.

— Type G - Size 25

Size 60, for high explosives and pyrotechnic compositions.

— Type J - Size 60, for composition RD 202.

NOTE It has not been found possible to characterize completely the types of charcoal required for particular applications and compliance with this Standard may not be sufficient to ensure that the charcoal will give compositions with the desired properties in filled stores. Consequently, before placing bulk orders, it is advisable for the purchaser to ascertain that the material offered is suitable for the intended use.
