Minimize dangers associated with high power rocketry by complying with the updated NFPA 1127.

NFPA 1127: Code for High Power Rocketry applies to the design, construction, limitation of propellant mass and power, and reliability of high power rocket motors and motor components, for use by a certified user for education, recreation, and sporting competition.

The 2008 edition includes amendments based upon findings outlined in a study by the National Association of Rocketry on the safety of sport rocketry.

    2008 changes address improvements to:
  • Rocket recovery
  • Launch guidance devices
  • Launch site specifications
  • Spectator clearance distances

A new edition of the High Power Rocket Safety Code has been included as an Annex to the Code. The Committee has also updated definitions to be consistent with other NFPA® documents.
