Full Description

This is a report from the Phase I of the originalASHRAE 1507- RP. The objective of this phase was to develop a database of pastpertinent binary flame boundary concentrations and to determine needed valuesfor 10 current component pairs of commonly used and newly introducedflammable/nonflammable component pairs. These pairs are being used or evaluatedin the development of commercial refrigerants. Flammability data for thesebinaries at 23°C and 60°C with controlled air (50% relative humidity) were tobe developed. Testing was to follow the guidelines set in the current issue ofASHRAE Standard 34. This database will aid in the assessment of new refrigerantblends for SSPC 34 and assure the accuracy of data from flame test apparatus atvarious laboratories.

This report was a combined effort of Debra Kennoy,Robert G. Richard, and Andrew Kusmierz, the principal investigator.
