Full Description

This product is a zip file that contains files that consist of PowerPoint slides synchronized with the audio-recording of the speaker, PDF files of the slides, and audio only (mp3 format) as noted.

This seminar will explore the numerical and computational challenges, and the accompanying solutions, associated with modeling vapor compression systems and their components with an emphasis on compressor modeling. Speakers will explain the challenges resulting from the stiffness of the non-linear Ordinary Differential Equations (ODE’s) that govern the behavior ofpositive-displacement compressors. Additionally, an assessment of the most efficient compressor modeling platform will be presented. Finally, a study of the challenges associated with modeling the system dynamics of a complete vapor compression cycle will be presented.
