Determination of the tearing force (on new part) and the residual tearing force (on used part) for new as well as used toothed belts in the engine-timing drive.

This Test Method is applicable to all toothed belts for engine timing.

Note: Nothing in this specification, however, supersedes applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained.

Note: In the event of a conflict between the German and the English language, the German language shall take precedence.
