1. SCOPE

These specifications cover basic requirements for electroplated coatings of the copper-nickel-chromium type as used on steel, zinc die cast, copper based alloys and plastic components. HN 1284 is intended for exterior parts, and HN 1314 for interior parts. Certain details, such as lustre and specific colour requirements, are intended to be covered by notations on drawings, purchase orders, and/or by agreement between individual purchaser and supplier.
