About This Item

Full Description

This document describes the requirements for setting up and maintaining a CM System for in-service and new-build surface ships that will ensure coherency of in-service support derived from CM data.

This document defines the requirements for maintaining the Configuration Baseline [Ship Fit Definition (SFD)] for those configured surface ships maintained on the current MOD's in-service Master Record Database (MRDB) application, known as the Surface Ship Definition Database (SSDD).

The principle of this standard does apply to those projects / surface ships covered under Contracting for Availability (CFA), Contractor Logistic Support (CLS) arrangements or not configured on SSDD.

This document does not cover the procedures or processes used for the various supports activities concerning on board spares and documentation (OBD) and maintenance requirements derived from CM data.
